Gourmet Escape Audi Beach BBQ: 17th to 21st November 2016
Heyder and Shears catering joined the Gourmet Escape Audi Beach BBQ family in 2016, when coming on board as caterers for the first time. With the level of professionalism displayed from day one, we knew that engaging with Perth’s leading bespoke catering company had been a smart choice.
Heyder and Shears proved more than capable of managing food supply logistics, which included the ordering, purchasing, preparation and transportation of all produce and equipment from Perth to Dunsborough. Local produce was successfully utilised to ensure justice was paid to all that Western Australia’s South West has to offer. They successfully demonstrated the high standards that Gourmet Escape is famous for and impressed sponsors and guests from around the world, including international domestic goddess and culinary super-star Nigella Lawson and the equally famous celebrity chef and restaurateur Rick Stein.
The seamless liaison between Heyder and Shears coupled with Perth’s Jesse Blake and chef talent ensured the outstanding menu and ingredient selection, which drew the approval of The West Australian’s iconic food writer, Rob Broadfield, who posted social media comments reading “Big love to Heyder & Shears: the food and wine service at the Beach Party was a lesson in how to get it right.”
We were equally as impressed by the immaculately presented wait staff, who continually had smiles to give despite working around the clock for four days straight in the sand !
